Ephesians 5:25 tells husbands, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her." - Here, love and sacrifice are emphasized, not control or violence. And in 1 Peter 3:7, it states, "Likewise, you husbands should live with your wives in understanding, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they too are also heirs of the gift of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered." - Respect and partnership are key here.
