If you really want the excitement from your guests needs to be a Friday? People can take the day and it becomes a long weekend of celebrations - if you’re going to do it may as well do it well 😘

I’ve had friends do weekday weddings and like we get it! Things are spenny as these days and if you’ve got enough notice it’s no different to taking off a Friday 🤷🏻♀️

I’ve been in the industry almost 10 years, weekday weddings are so normal (and epic because suppliers are always available) guests who matter won’t care at all - do it!!!

my friend did this in gooch week between Xmas and NY on a Thursday and it was fine. People didn't notice because they were all on leave anyway. just give plenty of notice so people can make sure

I like the Friday weddings. so then you can have the whole weekend. or do it the Monday before melbourne cup day? also of places close for a 4 day weekend anyway so that's an option?

I think regardless if it is on the weekend or weekday people will either take the time off once you give them the dates so they can still enjoy the wedding with you

I would personally love to attend a week day wedding. Being invited to a wedding is a great honour, and ppl sometimes forget that. My tip for a wedding is no seating arrangements, less stress!

My best friends wedding was a Wednesday and a 2hour drive away, most of us made a little holiday out of it travelling down the Tuesday morning and coming home Thursday arvo. It was great!

We did our wedding on a Friday (happened to be AFL grand final wkend) and saved so much money.. and the recovery time was definitely needed. Was a great excuse for others to have a long weekend too

Even if you do it on a Saturday (depending on where your friends/family live) a lot of people will take a day off to travel anyway. We had a public holiday on a Thursday so had ours on the Friday.

Definitely go for a weekday! We got married at 4pm on a Friday because it was cheaper and the time allowed people to travel on the day and only take one day off work. No one complained about taking time off and enjoyed a 3 day weekend

I think a weekday is fine, most people don’t mind as long as lots of notice is given, if it allows you to throw an amazing wedding with great food drinks ect then you are giving your guests a treat

Friday better than Monday if it’s a week day wedding! Especially for people with kids etc. so people can drink and not worry about the next day ❤️we did a Saturday wedding but if I was to ever do a week day wedding - it would be a Friday
