@davessweettooth: What’s with these out of touch politicians. Greg “Hot Wheels” Abbott is threatening the president of Texas A&M over his rollback of DEI. Thanks to #houstonchronicle for calling him out on his bu11shit though. Here’s a guy that has benefited his entire career from DEI and is know attempting to lead the charge against the same reason he can access a podium to make a stump speech. To anyone who thinks we’re being political, we’re just being reasonable people. Real people are effected by these weird political dog whistle-esque agendas these out of touch politicians have. If you’re anti DEI then don’t even bother trying to buy our toffee. If you think it’s just another “woke trend” then read up. Here’s a few easy to digest benefits of DEI over the years. 1. McKinsey’s research found that companies in the top of ethnic diversity outperformed industry medians by an average of 36%. 2. It has led to more research into how medications affect men and women differently, leading to massive gains in life expectancy for coronary complications. 3. Forbes reports that almost 25% of all C suite positions are held by women. Compare that to a couple decades ago… 4. Diversity fosters more creativity, employee retention and employee satisfaction, more than almost any other metric. 5. It makes the most sense in government becuase the role of government is meant to be about supporting society as a whole, and that means taking all things into account. Race, religion, economic status, sexual orientation, neuro divergence, and physical limitations or handicaps. Greg Abbott is a power hungry sycophant, and needs to be called out for rally against something that not only helps unite Americans, but also policies he’s directly benefited from.
