In my experience the vlom is the culprit for the issue. Had one that we put 3 sets of lifters in under “warranty” and finally they decided to do the vlom. Fixed

man, I just checked a 2019 silverado and cylinder 5 exhaust lifter wore into the cam. called GM for a long block do to all the metal going through the engine and the core on a 5.3l is $7000. WTF
