We received a phone call from the hospital on Monday, 24th February to bring Fatimah for an urgent appointment. And they told us to get another blood test done for this week on Thursday, 27th February. We knew something wasn’t right when the hospital called for an urgent appointment…😢 Fatimah started showing signs of relapse since early December 2024. And this is not her first relapse, although her current relapse is a bit slow compared to her previous relapse episode which was very aggressive… So today, we brought Fatimah for just a quick visit to the hospital for her routine blood test. On our way home, she started crying in the car due to a sudden increase in pain. So we asked her if she thinks that she needs to go back to the hospital. And she said no, she wants to go straight home. The pain then settled down after a few hours but started getting worse again late in the evening. But she still feels like she wants to try and manage it from home. Bless her strength and resilience…🥺 For now, we just need to wait patiently and monitor her at home. We know that this journey won’t be easy but we have complete faith in Allah. We’ve been through this before and we’ve had full support and guidance from the medical team since last year. Our experience being in the hospital for almost a year last year taught us a lot. Hence we’re more confident in managing her now, unless her condition worsens, then we have no choice but to bring her back to the hospital… Hopefully, she will be coping well until her next urgent appointment next week, InshaAllah.
