@chelslovesit: I don’t know about you but my feed has been flooded with polka dot pumpkins for weeeeks! So I was concerned that the NGV’s latest exhibition wouldn’t live up to the hype. But it very much did! We went on a Monday morning and it was bliss. No lines for any of the infinity rooms, heaps of space. If you can, head in during the week. If it’s not possible, make sure you book ahead! NGV, 180 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne Running until April 21, 2025. Tickets are available online, with adult tickets priced at $38 and child tickets at $18. Please note, an online transaction fee of $4.50 applies and head to NGV’s website for all the details. One of my favourite quotes from Yayoi Kusama displayed on the gallery wall is “if there is a chance that in 100 years’ time, there will be just one person who will look at my work and be touched by it, then I must continue to make art for that person”. This really resonated with me.
