in order of effectiveness it goes email, call, and then letter writing. if u have social anxiety, letter writing is by far the most impactful way to contact your elected official

pro tip: ask the person to repeat back to you what you said! that way you know they recorded it accurately and will be presented accurately

So actually emails are typically more effective because they are public record. Congress people are scared of not responding bc they could be exposed for it. You could call a congress person a 100 times and they could never anwser and there would be no record. with emails there would be

I've been trying to average one call per day. Typically pick a topic every few days and make several calls. It's getting easier. GREAT app!!

since they are just tallying the issues, and not really having meaningful conversations, you can call after hours. then you just leave a voicemail and never need to talk to a person

I live in an area where we have a TON of access to our elected officials. they told me that phone calls really do have an impact. I always thought it was bullshit 😂 my congressman said a whole bunch of calls on the same few topics keeps it front of mind. literally didn't think they cared. maybe some don't but apparently some do!
