@cleoabram: Why aren’t leaves black? If they absorb light for energy, wouldn’t all the wavelengths of light be better? Scientists have thought that was weird for a while, so these researchers built a model to try to answer it. They knew pigments in leaves absorb light and convert it into electrons that other parts of the plant can use to make food.
