I learned this a few years ago and it has worked so well for us! Distraction and it gets their mind on something other than why they were upset.

I always do the whisper method. They start throwing a tantrum and I talk to them in a whisper and they stop.

we do this with paw patrol characters lol or use something in a weird way like pants on our head. it works lol

My aunt used to keep my boys while I worked and she did this. It also works if you call a toy by the wrong name. Like call Mickey Mouse Spider Man.

Good one! I used to take my son by the shoulders and spin him in circles a few times and look into his eyes and say nope not yet and spin again sometimes multiple times until it was a giggle fest
