@cspanofficial: The Senate voted 52–46 on Wednesday to confirm Kelly Loeffler as the new administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA). Sen. Jacky Rosen (NV) was the only Democrat to join all Republicans in support. Ms. Loeffler, a venture capitalist from Georgia, served in the Senate during the final year of President Trump’s first term after she was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Johnny Isakson (R-GA). She lost reelection in 2020 to Raphael Warnock (D) and was later selected as co-chair of President Trump’s inaugural committee. In her confirmation hearing last month, Ms. Loeffler told senators that small business was in her “DNA.” She touted her Midwestern upbringing and how it had prepared her “for a lifetime of starting and growing businesses.” #kellyloeffler #SmallBusiness #senate #cspan
