Loss of compression can be caused by many things. If it wont start at all, it’s most likely something catastrophic and will need gone through.

Definitely not good, could be jumped timing or something more internal, Idk if them engines are interference or not but best case scenario the timing failed, get that fixed and you might be okay

I might be wrong but it sounds like it’s still turning over, nothing catastrophic almost sounds like it’s not getting spark or enough fuel, is there any fault codes?

Hi late comment, I had this SAME issue on my 06 Saab. What they described was that this little “prong” like thing was cracked and it was essentially a “no crank no start” prong had to be soldered back together and no issue starting since then
