When you go bold and choose a dark moody paint color, you do have to be intentional about other elements in the room. I love layering, playing with sconce lighting, adding brightness through gold, brass, and wood tones, and making sure my soft elements are in the lighter family. For example, we have a cream linen bed and white bedding, and when I buy towels for our bathroom, I look for lighter brighter options.
