@vorrdotcom: For SS2001 Alexander McQueen presented “VOSS” his iconic conceptual runway show/collection. A metal box stood in the center of the runway throughout the show, reflecting audience’s appearance back at them. The whole theme was tugging at a mental asylum. As the show came to an end, the box shattered revealing a bizarre but challenging picture of a nude lady surrounded by moths. McQueen was challenging beauty standards and what is considered as the ideal. The woman, in comparison to models had curves and was surrounded by moths that are typically seen as the ugly butterfly.
