I think of tarot as a form of talk therapy, and a trigger for unformed ideas. Eg. a card symbolising "change" comes up and you might think "I have been unhappy at work, maybe I should start a new job"

I mean Jungian analysis uses symbolism and archetypes for both self-reflection and for discourse and doesn’t get nearly the same sort of “crackpot” designation as tarot cards.
