I made my first garden beds exactly like this many years ago. They worked great. Used the square foot gardening method in them and had an abundance of veggies.

Psa to ppl. Don’t use treated wood. It may not deteriorate as fast, but it will leach chemicals into dirt and plants. Always raw wood but it won’t hold up as long but that’s ok!

To keep the two long sides from potentially bowing out with the weight and wetness of soil, you may want to put a single board to connect the 2 long sides to each other.

Shouldn’t treated would be fine now. 2003 the EPA got rid of CCA treatment because of the arsenic that leaks into the soil.

I made these 10 years ago stacked 4 high and they are doing great! The corner supports did rot and I replaced them with the bigger support like you started with!

Depending on where you get your fencing, they also sell it “flat top” vs dog eared. Just learned this after I also sawed off the tapered edges and went back for more. ‘‘Twas a learning experience! 😅
