I work at a personal injury law firm. GAP is a MUST for brand new cars at least. Yes you have coverage but if they total the car and they appraise it for less you will owe the difference - GAP PAYS IT

You can ask them for a cancellation form and cancel the back end and then resign because that would lower the monthly price. I suggest GAP though. Always get GAP

As a total loss adjuster in the insurance industry, gap insurance is only beneficial IF a vehicle is deemed total loss but it only covers a percentage only lol..

Just bought a 2025 honda cr v. They tried to do me the same. Showed me numbers without explaining what was all on there. I asked & didn’t get any add ons they had & numbers went down by 10k lol

Yes gap insurance is optional BUT IF I WERE TO BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM A DEALERSHIP I WILL FOREVER GET IT!!! It saved me from paying off the rest of my car off in a car accident and my full coverage
