Medicare doesn’t cover stretcher transportation for my father, which is why we’ve been doing telehealth appointments. Each ride to appointments would cost us $600+ out of pocket. This is INSANE!

I don't understand this because Medicare pays the same amount, whether it's an in person visit or telehealth visit. so no money is going to be saved by doing thus.

So what about disabled people that require tons of appointments? I have about 5 appointments a month. I wouldn’t be able to take enough time off work to travel back and forth.

This would be DEVASTATING for patients and providers alike. I work in eating disorders, & most of my clients are virtual. It's the only way they can access care between location, work, child care, etc

Just turned 65 this month and now on medicare. I used telehealth appts several times in the last few years with my regular insurance when too sick to drive or it's after hours. Saves on ER visits!😡

Or my just turned 18yr old w/ ASD who just became an incomplete paraplegic 2yrs ago. Therapy over telehealth has been helping him as he can't drive, they are 1hr away, & I work.

I’m not on Medicare, but due to MD shortages my endocrinologist lives in South Carolina and I live in WA state. That would be inconvenient.

I wonder if this affects telehealth programs that help rural hospitals get the input of specialists in emergencies? Our hospital had a telestroke and a pediatrician available to us

I live in a small town in Norcal. Sometimes it’s months before you can see a doctor. Telehealth is the only option for a lot of us.

I have to travel one and a half hours. The RA Dr I have is only telehealth so I don’t need to drive that far. When you 69 that drive really takes a toll on someone that has severe RA.

i have a telehealth appointment mid April. I have to travel for hours to see my rheumatologist and it is very difficult. I see my physician in the office every 6 months but use telehealth in between.
