@pbsnews: Within days of taking office, President Trump fired more than 17 inspectors general across the federal government, prompting a lawsuit challenging their legality and ongoing protests outside federal buildings. Inspectors general are nonpartisan independent watchdogs that oversee government waste, fraud and abuse — a similar mission to DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency helmed by Elon Musk. Eight of those fired are now suing the Trump administration seeking to be reinstated to their positions. PBS News Hour's Laura Barrón-López spoke with two of the fired inspectors general, Christi Grimm and Robert Storch for more. #donaldtrump #news #doge #elonmusk #inspectorsgeneral #pbs #pbsnews #trump

There is a difference between fraud and disagreements on spending. Musk and Trump flag as fraud- any and all money spent in ways they disagree with.

Spending money on Americans is not waste. Saving money to underwrite a huge tax cut for billionaires is not democratic.
