Is Cataract surgery more complex to do on a person with cornea transplants? I have very low vision in one eye (20/200) & the other is 20/20)

I’m monocular. My left eye is good but it has a cataract. AND I have nystagmus so my eyes constantly move. My ophthalmologist said I would have to be put to sleep for my surgery to keep the eye still. I’m seriously considering surgery though because it can be really hard to see out of that one good eye.

I waited till I couldnt see anymore in my “good” right eye. loat my vision in left eye to retinal detachment.

i only have one eye and in this i have cataract. i fear i will have to do opération soon, because my sight i so bad in the meantime. at night i’m blind 🤷♂️

I can see out of both eyes, just not at the same time. My brain turns off the image in the one I'm not using. it's been like this my entire life. I'm good with just glasses for now.

I was first told about Cataract started in 2010.I was told to wear tinned glasses,will help slow down cataract.i have been wearing since has not developed much and my 78yrs

I’m in this group - was hoping my good eye would compensate for the cataract eye until the hood eye started as well. So now I have to get both done.

This is me! I had retina detachment on bad eye. Had to cataract that one. My retina doc and I agree….not doing my excellent eye until I just have to! 5 years now!

my nana has occular melanoma in one eye and blind in that eye now but her good eye has cateract and they saying she needs surgery she’s very scared in case she goes completely blind should she wait ?

I had my cataract done last April mentioned that I could feel what was going on surgeon said I could I said I could he continued eventually the nurse said I think you need to give more anaesthetic

We are waiting a bit to do surgery for my PSC cataracts in both eyes. I also have mild Kerataconus and Ehlers Danlos. I go back again in 6 months, but the cataracts is progressing so until it gets really bad, we'll hold for now.

What about patients that were born with cataracts with one eye that worse as they got older? Also have astigmatism along with cataracts and a lazy eye? I just had my right eye done and they are not sure why it wasn’t successful for me…it’s kind of scary.
