I just sign in with a microsoft account anyways.. they're already going to get data and other services already have my details so whats the hassle, heck just using my phone data is being collected

You can just unplug the Ethernet when you get to the Microsoft login part and go one step back so it allows it to do it locally. if it doesn't allow you to go back from the login then put the command
