She is extremely lucky to be granted approval to use VAD. My MIL was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and had gone through the VAD process only to be denied. 💔

My mumma used VAD & passed last yr under her own terms & having a chance to say goodbye to everyone she wanted too. She had stage 4 COPD which there’s no way out from so it was such a relief for her after struggling for yrs. We all miss her so much but so relieved she’s no longer suffering

What a brave choice, as someone who had to endure the excruciating pain of watching a loved one diminish into nothing haunts me. VAD was not legal where we were. NO ONE should have to suffer beyond 1/
