@abc7chicago: An alligator made sure not to let go of its snack as it crossed a road in Palm Beach County, Florida. This footage from the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which was posted to Facebook on February 12, shows the reptile latching onto a turtle with its teeth as it stopped traffic at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, alligators are “opportunistic feeders” with juvenile alligators eating insects, amphibians, small fish, and other invertebrates while adults tuck into rough fish, snakes, turtles, small mammals, and birds. #news #florida #alligator #turtle
