@kim.hiked.it: I had the best time exploring the Morgantown, WV region. Morgantown, WV is only a short 1.5 hour drive from Pittsburgh, PA and makes a great winter weekend getaway. Head to Coopers Rock State Forest for a sunrise hike at Raven Rock. ☀️ 2. Find the #AlmostHeaven swings. I visited 3️⃣ swings on my trip: Coopers Rock, Mason-Dixon Historical Park, and the Philippi Covered Bridge. 3. Check out some waterfalls on the West Virginia Waterfall. I made 2️⃣ stops: Tucker Falls at Mason-Dixon Historical Park and the falls at Valley Falls State Park. 4. Head to downtown Morgantown for First Friday for the Arts 5. Take a hike on one of the many beautiful trails in the region: Coopers Rock State Forest, Cheat Lake Trail, Snake Hill Wildlife Management Area, Cathedral State Park, Audra State Park, Mason-Dixon Historical Park 6. Warm up at a local coffee shop: @almostheavendesserts @mountaineerroasting @anniescoffeeandcreamery 7. Visit covered bridges. I checked out the Philippi Covered Bridge, the oldest and longest in WV 8. Explore the magical @wvbotanicgarden. 9. Eat local. I loved @tropicswv @ironhorsetvrn @murialesrestaurant 10.
