She would take me with her on buying trips to NYC. 🗽In 1991 I opened my first store on the corner of 72nd and Columbus on the upper west side of Manhattan. Over the next 25 years, we opened in SoHo, Greenwich Village & on Madison’s Avenue on the upper east side. Making us NY’s neighborhood store. 🎥 In 2020 covid closed my business overnight. With 4 stores inventory and all non-essential businesses closed-Janie and I started selling the clothing from my house. We set up virtual appointments, filmed Facebook and Instagram lives and launched an online store. 🏬 Then we looked north-Greenwich, CT was open. Outside dining was in full swing and stores like Hermes and Tiffany’s were open for business. We popped up on the famous Greenwich Avenue. 🚙 And almost a year ago, we moved into an abandoned Honda car dealership. The big showroom space has allowed us to grow our online business and focus on Emerging designers.
