I would recommend carrying a Dr’s letter with you for situations like this. It shouldn’t have happened but just in case it’s good to have backup documentation

I get through by saying it’s a medical bag (also mcas!) It helps to get a bag with medical labeling. I put food and xolair in there lol. That’s how people w breastmilk and diabetic snacks get through

they took a salad I had over christmas because some of the dressing at the bottom had pooled up so there was ‘liquid’. I am wondering if there is some new rule or they are getting stricter

First sorry this happened. Announce at security that you have food for medical reasons. Indeed travel with a letter if necessary. They can test everything.

This happened to my daughter with MCAS when we arrived in Mexico City! We had an entire week in Mexico; all she could eat was very little. It’s disgusting honestly. We had a dr’s note and everything!

Just get a doctors note I litterally took 50 fruit pureee pouches on holiday for my son due to medical reasons they swabbed in and then let me on my way

Drs Letter.. I never travel without mine. Get a food vacuum sealer. Vacuum pack your food. Label everything.

My husband used to work for TSA. If you tell them it’s for medical purposes or a medical condition, they can’t take it (but they may test it).
