How We Got Here In 2023, after losing my warehouse in the wake of a devastating divorce and having to lay off my incredible team, I turned to a third-party logistics company to help with fulfillment. I trusted them to deliver the same level of care and service Bailey’s was built on. Instead, they purposefully delayed shipments for weeks on end, charged outrageous, fraudulent fees, then held my inventory hostage, refusing to release it unless I paid their demands. Because I believe in what I have spent a lifetime creating, I paid them the fraudulent sum they demanded in order to buy back my inventory, regain control of my operation and attempt to save my company, all the while attempting to fight for justice. Despite having the truth on my side, they are dragging out arbitration, openly admitting they have the resources to outlast me, and threatening to “put me in the ground in three months”, using intimidation tactics to force me into silence. I never imagined I’d be in this position, but today, I need your help.. The Problem: Legal Battles Are Expensive Litigation and arbitration aren’t just about the truth—they’re about who can afford to fight the longest. Right now, my opponent is betting that I’ll run out of resources before justice is served. I never anticipated that a legal battle would last nearly a year and a half, draining our resources and forcing us to fight just to survive. The money they stole was originally meant to fund the new collections I designed for the upcoming season. Legal costs have only made it harder to bring in the styles we know you’ve been waiting for. My once thriving team of 37 has dwindled down to myself and one other, with my children filling the gaps in between.
