Over the last 3 years, I’ve invested heavily back into my business by learning from some of the best tattoo artists in the world. I’ve always believed in setting big goals and visualizing the life I wanted. Early on, I watched artists like @tatu_panda @jeezytattoos @rafaeltats @_escobart living the career I dreamed of—creating incredible tattoos, charging premium rates, staying booked for months, earning creative freedom from their clients, and building lives they were proud of. I realized I could spend years trying to figure it all out on my own… or I could learn from people who had already done it. So I invested in seminars, masterclasses, and one-on-one coaching. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on education, and it’s been the best investment I’ve ever made. This tattoo is a perfect example. Last year I had the opportunity to attend a two-day seminar with @tatu_panda—an artist I’ve admired since before I ever picked up a machine. The first day I watched him tattoo this piece on his client. The second day I recreated it on one of my own. The seminar wasn’t cheap. At the time, it cost about a week’s worth of income. But that investment has paid for itself many times over. This is the tattoo more clients mention than any other when they tell me what made them book with me. The experience was incredible, but the real value wasn’t just learning a new technique—it was investing in myself. And to be clear, my career was already going well. I was booked out, making more than I ever imagined, and doing work I was proud of. But I never want to become comfortable. I’m always chasing the next level. If someone else has built the life you want, learn from them. Stay humble enough to never stop learning, and hungry enough to keep growing. 🤙
