I had a teacher who would stop the whole class and offer any kid who hiccuped a candy if they hiccuped again. 98% of the time, it cured the hiccups. I think that also helped here.

I can get rid of hiccups by telling some "I have hiccups". it only works when someone hears me. voice messages work.

Apparently we hiccup bc airis trying to escape through our gills, but we don't have gills - so tell yourself you don't have gills and the hiccuping stops
