Spring Break North Shore Adventure (Send to a friend you want to do this with) This road trip takes you from Duluth to Grand Portage, with about 3 hours of driving (one way). I was crazy and did it all in one day but it was a FULL day. I’d recommend at least two if not more. Stay somewhere central—like Two Harbors or Lutsen—for easy access to all the stops!   📍 Jay Cooke State Park – Swinging bridge & rushing rapids   📍 Gooseberry Falls – Iconic, multi-tiered waterfalls   📍 Black Beach Park – Unique black sand shoreline   📍 Tettegouche State Park (High Falls) – One of MN’s tallest waterfalls, this will be the longest hike on your journey and may be a skip if you’re trying to cut down on time  📍 Cross River Falls – Roadside beauty, fully accessible from the parking lot    📍 Caribou Falls – Short hike, parking is at a roadside rest stop, don’t blink or you’ll miss it   📍 Hidden Falls (Temperance River) – Tucked-away cascade, unique bridges and opportunities to extend your hike    📍 Cascade Falls – Forested falls near the lake, parking is along the main highway not in the state park   📍 High Falls (Grand Portage) – Minnesota’s tallest waterfall  I know it’s a drive, but WORTH IT Yes, there are TWO “High Falls”! One in Tettegouche State Park and one in Grand Portage and can be accessed from both the US and Canada, which is the tallest in Minnesota.  Due to weather and temps, waterfalls start flowing at different times. Katie from Bluefin Bay does an amazing job at updates on current conditions if you have some flexibility on your trip. You can usually start seeing some falls at the end of March into April.  Who’s in for a North Shore adventure? Comment “SPRING BREAK” and I’ll send you my full north shore spring break inspo blog with the best coffee, brews, stays and views for your journey!  #SpringBreakRoadTrip #MNNorthShore Be sure to follow @taytakesatrip for more Minnesota adventures!
