@calltoleap: Millionaires are renting. It’s not because they can’t afford a home, it’s that they choose to not buy one. Here are the 3 reasons. 1. It’s not as glorious as what you hear from social media. I’m a homeowner and I sometimes regret buying a home. 2. My money is tied up… and i feel like my house is just a big piggy bank where I can’t touch my money. 3. It’s hard for me to move, especially with me being a finance content creator. Even though I love my home and enjoy being an introvert, there are many times I kinda wish I could have the flexibility to live somewhere else. I learned that many millionaires are finding out that it’s better for them to live off of a 2 million dollar portfolio, instead of a 2 million dollar home. -Steve Follow @calltoleap for investing videos! I don’t invest in rhe stock market.Own a duplex which we live in rent free and one side is in Airbnb which pays rhe mortgage and cashflows. Taxes cancel out maintence. Unlike stocks you can retire

Yes. All the houses in Beverly Hills are for sale, all millionaires prefer to live in apartments in Arizona because is way cheaper, some prefer to live under bridges

Property tax. Insurance, maintenance, all tax deductible. Made 300k equity in 3 years. Seems like a good investment to me 😂

Homeowner! House rich. Cash poor right now. Two unit. Renting one. Also two tuitions to pay for😩. Paying for education worth it IMO!

I have an appartment for rent in Poland, but in Poland the law protects only the tenant. In case the tenant is not paying rent, it is unlawful to ask the tenant to leave. Legal process lasts ages.

Maybe but in many cities it's actually hard to find adequately sized rentals for large families

Renting does mean, anything I do on the home I live in, is not improving my asset, it someone else's. It does allow me to save more

Correct. All correct. Owning a home to live in is not an investment. It’s simply a place to live. By the time you sell and buy something else the equity just pays back for the money you put into it.

Location. Even with costs, certain locations are still worth to have home even with 20-25 years of mortgage due to one thing- EQUITY.

Well when I bought my first house in Seattle , I spent about 20k in repairs and small upgrades. Kept it for 3 years and sold it for 1.9x the purchase price. How was that a bad investment?
