I am pretty sure my brother who was born in 1970s had ADHD. But he wasn't diagnosed. pretty sure it wasn't the food because my mom made all our meals from scratch..

"Scotti you stared at the tv that was off for five minutes in your own little world" "I don't buy that you have adhd, and I don't think you should be taking those meds as an adult" 🙃

My entire friend group from school got diagnosed after our kids got their diagnosis’s. Then all went no contact with our parents for not getting us help or gaslighting us.

Looking back I can see the aigns of ADHD from birth in my child. “Colic” was sensory issues. Would cey and cry only thing that helped was putting her in the swing. Would hyper fixate on milestones

I did not know you can trace it like tha. my daughter's doctor told my ex-husband because I use hard drugs. Is the reason why both my kids have autism

There are some theories that aren't crazy about environmental factors *contributing* to these things, but definitely not causing them. And the environmental factors are all pretty extreme

In the 80s early 90s they put those kids in Special Ed and moved them away from the general school. This is why so many people don’t “remember” those kids.

Don't forget people with those diagnoses tend to seek each other out for relationships. Which makes it more likely their child will have it too.

If you know what you're looking for, you can find it in the older generations. They just didn't have the name for it or the support they could have benefited from.

After self-diagnosing my elder millennial undiagnosed adhd, I started seeing how it also manifested in my parents and at least two grandparents. Anxiety, hyperfixations, the works.
