I was called “ghetto” in a meeting by my supervisor. She thought it was funny. After the shock from the room, I was immediately told by another co-worker that I was very professional. Pending lawsuit.

I was told some people around me feel my communication style is too formal & assertive & that I should be more personable. Not unprofessional, not inappropriate, but too clear, too confident. 🤨
