@kaizen3dprints: I wanted to make a refresher video about this 3D printed hood. If you're interested in trying it out for yourself, the file can be found at https://than.gs/m/1030289 or through my @Thangs3D profile through my linktree. This uses the basic principle of printing a first layer, pausing to add fabric, and the print finishing to create an encapsulated textile. In this video, I demonstrate the general process from start to finish of 3d printing a diamond patterned hood. It's a total of 4 prints attached together with a uv curable resin, followed by creating a matching liner. After both are sewn up, we can connect them and enjoy our #3dprintedfashion The holographic effects are achieved with using magnetic pflat sheets found at Www.kaizen3dprints.com Have questions? Leave a comment below!
dude I love this so much every single time I see your videos I get hype and also a little sad I'm not using my 3d printer more in my Ren faire costuming 😭

Cosplayers doing this for years now, just print one or two layers, pause, then put the mesh over with the magnets and BOOM, no need for extra steps involving hazardous resin fumes!

I don't know why but it's very funny that the panels are glued with resin instead of sewing the mesh.
