@thekristinexy: Feb 19th- Lola woke up this morning with another fever. This flu has continued to run its course through her little body and Motrin has been given as her team monitors her counts closely. Her blood work came back showing very high liver enzymes due to the virus, chemo, etc, so Tylenol wasn’t an option for her fever since that med affects the liver. Her liver has just taken a big hit from everything. Lola has been on hold from all her daily chemo and meds so her liver could rest and recover. Luckily nothing has grown on her blood cultures so far which means we are just battling this nasty virus instead of a bacterial infection somewhere in the body that could potentially turn septic. Lola loves spending her time painting and doing all kinds of arts and crafts while she’s in the hospital. Today she and I painted a pretty rainbow together. Later on in the day her friend, Ms.Kelly, dropped by and did a few arts and crafts with her. She was so happy! She spiked a fever again during her nap and wasn’t her sassy self until another dose of Motrin kicked in. It’s draining to watch my baby go through this, but it’s reassuring to know that we have a supportive team that is taking the best care of her. #lolastrong #teamlola #lolasprayerwarriors #lolasarmy #childhoodcancerfamilies #childhoodcancer #childhoodcancerawareness #childhoodleukemia #childhoodcancerwarriors #childhoodcanceradvocate #childhoodcancersurvivor #childhoodcancersucks #childhoodcancersupport #hospitaladmission #hospitalstay
