deer will eat sage, coneflowers,lavender. they will eat the maridold flowers then pull the plants out of the ground. They will leave daisy's & dianthus alone. no hunting in my county & overpopulated

I know deer don’t like marigolds but I have struggled with them pulling up the plants and tossing them aside, they don’t eat ‘em but they sure don’t like ‘em around

I plant petunias in my backyard, deer do not bother them, they don't bother my hibiscus until it's done blooming but will eat the dead pods only
