I totally agree with you, I also feel like at one point I did have to remember these girls are 19-21 years old and still insanely immature and most of us readers are in our late 20’s early 30’s

It was deeply annoying but made sense. She saw Lukas as her fallback guy and crashed out when she realized it wasn't going to happenen. Who among is wouldn't have done something similar in their 20s?

No I agree I actually really liked pen I was honestly more upset that they built up that he and Lukas had this deep friendship then relationship but I never got that vibe from him like he always seem so annoyed with her and never wanted to be around her. And like granted he didn’t want to be in a relationship with her anymore because he liked Scarlett but I never truly got the feeling that he was ever friends with Pen! Like she was suppose to be there during one of the hardest points of his life but any time he had to interact with her he was over it like what😭

there wasn't a point in that book where she was genuinely a bad friend to Scarlett. She had that one blip where she was struggling to manage her own emotions but she apologized and changed

AGREE! I had so many overdramatic and petty fights with my best friend at 19/20 in college and now 10 years later we are still best friends. I related so much to them and their friendship.

I think it also depicts college friendships really well. especially in a group setting, like I was not an athlete but I was in a sorority and I feel when you're in group dynamics like that 1/2

I completely agree! Girl friendship is complicated and complex and no one is perfect. Like true girl friendship, I was annoyed of Pen throughout the book but also sympathized with her at the end.
