I think it’s just being prepared. We had a bad ice storm that took the power lines down. I learned how to start a kerosene heater. I learned that I could cook on top of it to feed my kids. Survival

I agree with you 💯 I have analyzed each important thing in my home. Early 1900's wood stove to cook, percolator coffee pot. We lose cell service and electric often. I read then.

I had this conversation with myself when people were fighting over tp in 2020. I learned gardening & canning. we got bikes, & emergency supplies, books and games, heirloom seeds. it helps a lot. 💗

I live without an oven/stove. I have to get creative with an air fryer, microwave and electric skillet. I live where I work and ny make shift kitchen is inside a storage supply closet. 😊

Sarah my Samsung washer and dryer quit after 3 yrs it sucks. thankful for the laundry mat. the dryer the heating element burnt.

I grew up poor with nothing, no electricity, portable water. Doing laundry by hand, no cell phone, only 3 channels on TV. I even remember when we didn’t have electricity, we used oil lamps.
