@madisonclysdale: Seals are a protected marine mammal so you shouldn’t approach them, follow them or paddle to close but if they see you, they’ll probably come say hi 🥹. My only regret is forgetting our life jackets so I couldn’t go very far from shore. We live in the British Columbia interior so this coastal ocean trip was such a sweet experience. The ocean is so alive. From the seals feeding on fish to the birds swooping in for the leftover scraps and even the shoreline filled with hundreds of living organisms
