I agree but also nothing wrong with decorating with out being excessive. I spent about £30 on mine n I’ll reuse again for the next few years. I have small children so it’s nice way to get them excited

Mmm, I agree to an extent sister. It’s pretty disappointing when we can’t even find decorations to begin with. When we find it we get excited and we absolutely should fill our homes and celebrate

I recycle old decor and style it in different ways each year! It’s just about a little something to make the heart happy but not something that costs you your imaan! :)

I personally find a lot of the decor available tacky & kinda like visual clutter. The best decor personally is a deep cleaned house 🙏🏻

I am a revert in a small town where I legitimately only know one other Muslim, so I’ve had a LOT of success finding lots of things at the local Amazon return store. 😊

Ramadan is literally not about decoration though. Especially people w/no kids. Lol I decorate my house to make it more fun &exciting for my son, otherwise that’s not what it’s about

it’s good to make things special for your children, but you def don’t need to spend a crazy amount of money, just make a clean space with a quran and prayer mat and some lights to make it cosy.

I agree! We get so carried away that we forget what Ramadan is actually about. I used to buy so much decorations and go all out but now I realized minimal decor looks better anyways.

May Allah bless the Muslims. Decorating the home for Ramadan is incorrect. Lavish feasts are incorrect. This is the month of the Quran, of worship, of controlling our desires.

I agree to an extent. Ramadan comes around once a year. It’s the one time us Muslims get to feel the closest to god and we should celebrate that. But not get lost in material things at the same time

Decorating is not part of Islam. People focus more on what to decorate and cook and wear for Eid than the actual essence of Ramadan. They will say "don't want the kids to miss out"
