@sweetpea_and_t: One of the biggest misconceptions or most common phrases people say when it comes to dogs with behavior issues is that they need a home in the middle of nowhere with lots of land. That is what you call a unicorn home. It doesn’t exist. Even if there is someone who checks those boxes, they aren’t out looking to take in behaviorally complex, unstable dogs. There have been people who have taken in dogs with behavioral issues and have completely isolated themselves and it still didn’t change the outcome. My dog in particular would not have survived another rehoming. We had a hard time even creating and completing a bucket list for her due to the severity of her issues. On her last day we took her to a sniff spot on 200 acres and she still became triggered by sounds far in the distance. Some dogs cannot be saved and some dogs should not be saved. #losinglulu

I scream this all the time. I live on old family farmland, roughly ~200 acres. We have 6 dogs and 25 cats, and my two young nieces live here. Aggressive dogs aren’t welcome.
