Agreed! I’m 46 now, and my dad still makes comments that I was lucky cause I got meals and a roof over my head and I didn’t “deserve” that.

The hardest part now is having to care for now elderly boomer parents who did not care for us in the least. It feels so cruel that we have to give them the time, effort, attn that they never gave us.
