@chrisgeorgept: If you’ve been through a hard time, read on.👇👇👇 At some point, you will go through something that you can’t control: illness, trauma, loss of a loved one one. You will need to find ways to adapt and manage the situation. Fitness can help you do this. Here are 5 ways that fitness helped me following cancer and the resulting amputation. ✅ It helped me realise my body is still capable of amazing things. I’m still able to grow, strengthen and challenge myself. ✅ Provided me with a community. Being around like-minded people, who want what you want, keeps you motivated and focusing on the right things. ✅ Shifted my focus away from my concerns to something productive and healthy. ✅ Gave me the mental clarity to deal with my problems / feelings. When I’m stressed and emotional, I’m never going to process anything. Working out brings me back down to baseline and puts me in the right headspace to deal with what I need to. ✅ Gave me my confidence back. Every small achievement in the gym translated to more confidence in daily life. #gymmotivation #Fitness #amputees #cancersurvivor
