Get some local anesthetic injected in your belly pre-c-section. My husband is a nurse anesthetist and requested it for me and I had no postpartum pain- I didn’t even need Tylenol after leaving.

I had them lower the drape and it was so special!! The second he came out, I was able to see him, cord attached and all!! I HIGHLY recommend!🥹💗

my planned c-sec erased all of the bad in my brain from my first heavily traumatic emergency one! Definitely the tap block, otherwise, it should be smooth sailing, Mama!💗💗💗

I had a planned c section after having a natural the first time round. I loved it, couldn’t recommend it enough so much better then a natural birth 🤗. It took 4.6 minutes from the time of the first incision and then approx another 20 mins to stitch it all back up, they took the baby out and did the medical stuff with him and then gave him to me to hold while they stitched me up. Then back to the room for recovery. By day two I said I don’t need pain meds anymore hahaha after two hours I was begging for the pain meds so defiantly keep on those, then I was home on the third day. After one week I was back to my normal life I just healed really quickly but everyone is different. I honestly loved it 😍

I have never had a c-section However I would 100% get the clear drape because I think it would give more of a natural experience for u mama… and belly block 1000% if that’s offered since it’s your 3rd surg u should absolutely get it because they have a lot of scar tissue to get thru this time so that will def help recovery pains. Also that belly binder will help u out! Assuming u haven’t already delivered lol

My first was emergent too and I was put to sleep, so I planned the second, had music was awake with my husband, I wish I heard of a belly block because it was more painful due to so much scar tissue!
