Creamy peppercorn sauce + crispy chicken = dinner perfection Chicken au Poivre Ingredients 1 whole chicken, butterflied Salt, to taste Butter, for topping 3–4 garlic cloves, minced 1 shallot, finely diced 1 sprig rosemary, chopped Pinch of salt 1–2 tbsp coarse ground peppercorns 1 1/2 cups heavy cream 1/3 cup sherry wine Instructions Prep the chicken Butterfly the chicken breasts and place in a baking dish. Season with salt and top each piece with a little butter. First bake Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes. Make the cream mixture In a bowl, combine: garlic shallots rosemary pinch of salt coarse ground peppercorns heavy cream sherry wine Add the sauce Remove the chicken from the oven and pour the cream mixture over the top. Finish baking Increase oven temperature to 400°F and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is bubbly. Baste the chicken with the sauce 2 times while baking. Serve Spoon extra peppercorn cream sauce over the chicken and serve with mashed potatoes. Enjoy!! #chickenaupoivre #roastchicken #familydinner
