@brigitt.earley: Why are we still paying for dermaplaning?! One of our local spas charges $75 for dermaplaning, and I'm always surprised by how many of my friends are paying for it. You guys, you can get a pack of my favorite facial razors for $14, and it'll last you months. And, no, your hair isn't going to grow back faster or thicker or anything like that. The exception? Those with particularly sensitive skin or those with active acne flare-ups should probably leave this treatment to the professionals (just because the risk of irritation is higher). But most of us can do this at home, no problemo. Just make sure your skin is clean, your blade is sharp, and you're not going all ham on your face. Hold the skin taut and pass over skin with soft, gentle strokes no more than two to three times. Then follow up with a hydrating moisturizer to soothe your skin. I promise, it's easy. And you'll thank me when the sun isn't illuminating all of those little baby hairs on your face (trust me, they're there) and your makeup looks super smooth and glowy. #dermaplaning #moneysavingtips #beautytips
