Oreo was born into a world where his life didn’t matter—where a breeder’s greed overshadowed his need for love and care. Oreo and his siblings were doomed from the start, born to suffer and left to die. His siblings never got a chance. They were abandoned to suffer in silence, their lives deemed unworthy. Somehow, Oreo got a second chance. He was surrendered to Tampa PRC. We had two hours to make a decision, and we fought for him. His deadline was extended, and we rushed to bring him to safety. He was critical when he arrived at the ER. His bloodwork was unlike anything we’ve seen—so low they couldn’t even draw a sample. His tiny body was shutting down. Then came the worms—vomiting and pooping out massive clusters of roundworms. His body had nothing left to give. And then it got worse. Oreo tested positive for leptospirosis, a deadly disease that could kill him without immediate treatment. This didn’t have to happen. This wasn’t fate. This was the result of a breeder who didn’t care that these puppies would be born into suffering. A breeder who let Oreo’s siblings die without a second thought. Oreo should never have been born into this. But he’s here. And he’s fighting. Oreo now has a feeding tube, urinary catheter, and jugular pull line. He’s getting constant ICU care, IVs, blood transfusions, and medications. His survival depends on it, and we cannot do this without you. Please help us save Oreo.
