@heyitsnardia: Avoidant Attachment isn’t about not needing love—it’s about fearing it. 💔 They don’t push people away because they don’t care. They do it because getting close has always felt like a risk. #AttachmentStyles #EmotionalHealing #AvoidantAttachment #FearOfIntimacy #TrustIssues #HealingAttachmentWounds
Let me explain. We definitely do not actually need anyone since we have been doing everything ourselves our whole life. Part of thinks we should be able to live with someone but we are programmed

Avoidants cause the pain and trauma to everyone else that they are protecting themselves from.

I had to turn my back on him. I feel bad for reinforcing his world view or making him feel unlovable. But he pushed me to. I wish I could fix his heart, but there’s nothing I can do

She kept neglecting me and wanting space. I gave her space and she got comfortable for 2 years. had to break up even though I still love her. A month later she came back telling me she’s lonely

yes my caretaker abused me in a pretty terrible way, when I get to close I get absolutely terrified. It's really challenging to work through, I've got a bit better over the years

I've only just learnt that this is me. I'm 48 and have literally been guided by these feelings my whole life. When you're unaware it's survival, not intentional.

Don't demonize people's trauma. They are not responsible or self aware. They need to be helped from themselves through therapy . This is not permanent and once healed, a good, caring person emerges.

Exactly what happened to me recently. His walls were so high, I just couldn’t get over them. Was an emotional rollercoaster. He’s alone again just how he likes it.

This is so true….wish I knew what I was dealing with before I let myself get sucked into a relationship with an avoidant….cautionary tale 🤷🏻♂️

that's why don't get revenge to your avoidant ex, or even someone you got into a situationship with. their avoidant attachment is enough.

My DA just deactivated and blindsided me when she got too close, I could never break that wall down again, ‘ let’s be friends’ . Seek help or live alone.
