THREE WEEKS AGO, THIS LAND LOOKED USELESS TO MANY PEOPLE. No leaves. No fruits. No green vegetation. Just bamboo poles, drip irrigation lines, workers moving around, and a farmer spending money every single day. If you had visited then, some people would have said: "See all the money he's wasting." "Farming is not profitable." "The economy is too hard for this kind of investment." "You can't make money from cucumber anymore." Fast forward to today. The same land now carries thousands of cucumber plants standing uniformly across the field. The crop is just 19 days after germination. At only 19 days, some of the plants are already flowering and fruiting. Yet this is still only the beginning. The harvest has not even started. Read that again. The harvest has not even started. In approximately 18–20 days from now, baskets and bags will begin moving out of this field. This is the part many people never understand about farming. Farming rewards patience. The money is usually invisible at the beginning. The profits are buried inside the seed. The returns are hidden beneath the soil. Most people quit during the "empty field" stage. Very few stay long enough to witness the "green field" stage. And even fewer stay long enough to reach the "harvest" stage. That is why whenever someone says: "Farming is not lucrative." My question is always: Did farming fail, or did patience fail? Because this field was empty just a few weeks ago. Today it is a cucumber plantation. And in the next 18–20 days, it will become a harvest field. The transformation from bare land to productive farmland is not magic. It is planning. It is consistency. It is agronomy. It is risk management. It is discipline. Most importantly, it is refusing to quit before the harvest arrives. For those building something right now whether farming, business, career or life remember this: Every harvest first looks like an empty field.
