I hate riddles…she’s trying to say change your attitude…accept/surrender to your current anxiety state and go back to living…..meaning your limbic system part of your brain (emotional) has taken over and your sympathetic nervous system is disregulated and stuck on high alert…your frontal cortex(logical part of brain) is in the back seat…so only way out is through with actions…there no negotiations…loosen and accept…understand what has happened and slowly unwind. Takes time and practice. God bless

You also can’t reduce anxiety in the long run simply by regulating an attack each time it happens, this makes sedatives seem like appealing. Cognitive approaches have a useful place in between attacks

maybe not the same thing but one of the first things I learned to do in therapy was smile first thing in the morning. regardless of how bad I felt. felt like a bit of a wally but it worked.
