Those 318’s are pretty stout. I got a 100$ you can put another 20K on it even with low compression. They love to eat oil due to bad plenums though. They warm unfortunately

Intake gasket we have one and it has a fat misfire from it

Check your head gasket or mostly plate underneath the intake manifold those are well know to to go out on 5.2 and 5.9 which could cause that
